Muse - Muscle Museum Acoustic - HMV Bristol 1999
The final track of a three track set. This is an instore signing session from 1999, filmed by Matthew George. This track was previously published on Georges website "The Muscle Museum" in low resolution, but was recently rediscovered on VHS.
Muse performed in many stores during the 1999 Showbiz promotional tour - some of the signed items from these performances carry high values because they took the time to sign with their full names back then.
This is probably the most intimate Muse set you will ever see - with around 30 people squeezed into the HMV in Bristol to witness this amazing show. Fun fact - Muse also popped over the river Severn to the Cardiff HMV store in Wales to perform on the same day!
These videos have been released as a THANK YOU gift - to the donators of the Muse Collectors 2012 competition. If you want to learn about this years competition, head over to Muse Collectors and get involved.
Thanks goes out to Pierre_Luigi and Muse Bootlegs, and to MG for recording it in the first place.

Muse - Ashamed - Live Video (2000)
Переглядів 23 тис.11 років тому
Rare early footage showing Muse playing one of their greatest tracks at an unknown venue in Germany, 2000. This is the only known live video of Ashamed, unearthed recently thanks to the hard work of the Muse Bootlegs team. Ashamed first appeared on the 1996/7 Newton Abbot demo tape, and was later re recorded and released as a b-side on Sunburn CD1. This track also features on the Hullabaloo CD2...

This tape was put up for sale on the legendary Muse Collectors forum on the 23rd May 2011. Original thread here: www.musecollectors.com/forum/index.php?topic=548.0 This clip was removed from UA-cam, so we have restored it due to its historical nature, this video contains a unique audio clip of the demo being played. This tape eventually went on eBay after a bidding war within the Muse Collector...

Muse - Sunburn - Top of the Pops
Переглядів 11 тис.12 років тому
Muses first ever appearance on Top of the Pops (TOTP) in March 2000. Featuring the very temporary fourth member on piano. This is a rare uncut version of the video which features an extended intro and outro, and none of the BBC or TOTP idents overlaid. Muse were asked to mime (except vocals), and as such there is a lot of tongue in cheek silliness and mocking. This lead to the performance to be...
To the young people watching they are inside a “music shop” and those things around them are called “CDs”. You’re welcome
Weird without the piano
Audience is wild
nice!
This is fucking surreal.

Aaaaw! Love this! 🥰
Matt’s last name is Bellamy, not George, otherwise your description is great…..as well as early Muse, already great. [this is to MuesCollectors info above in the desciption]
Matthew George is the guy who recorded the video
@@shrinkinguniverse thanks
Wouldn't have expected such a good result from this song on acoustic and in such a 0 energy environment, but yeah, unbelievable!
❤❤
What mushroom or tree bark session made this happen because they became the absolute pinnacle of sound Be it jazz flamenco hardcore or folk structures with Gregorian overtones It must have been an epiphany on an epiphone that we have not woke up from yet. When we do will Matt still be singing the blues?
him angelic voice 😍
I wish they still made music like this
1999 nirvana
Best band ever
I love❤❤
You its my universe ❤❤
I LOVE Matt im Nikita
no puede tener esa voz 🥺🥺🥺😭😭
que locura tío te amo matt 🛐🛐🛐
Actually amazing how consistent Matt's voice is - some acoustic set in a random HMV and it's still flawless
les ricains..... xd
look at dominic chubby cheeks 🥹
if we had a time machine, I would go back to this place and day just to watch them this way... i was only 5y/o in 1999, what did I know lol. wanna support them and watch from the future as I'm in my late 20s,must be great :")
Is there no official release for this version??
I didn’t expect the audio quality to be this clear T T
I can't believe I just noticed this. It's now 2023 and I'm 47. They are around 45 and 46! This just tripped me out....😮
These early acoustic versions make me want to turn them all into a MUSE lullaby collection! 🥰
Those who critiqued their live shows compared to the album are kicking themselves in their ass now! 😊 Very few bands are better live than on the album. 1) The Cure 2) A Perfect Circle and: 3) MUSE is literally known as the greatest arena rock band ever!
I can't understand why there's no girls running up to them and giving them a 💋 And then, I thought that was a Linkin Park poster behind them, but it was MUSE times 2! I really want to teleport back to that time. It's the best!
In 1999 I was born, and these guys were being absolute legends I love muse sm
yes, this is where most of my account nicknames come from
Jeff buckley vocal revival
In 1999, I first heard MUSE. I still have the Showbiz Album. Then we went out to see them. And then came Origin, then I was addicted to Muse for ever. In 1999 I was 29. Now I am 53. Still Muse fan/geek/for the rest of my life.
We would give the world for this.
No auto tune unplugged great job Matt Dom and Chris 😌reminds me of nirvanas unplugged great vocals when artist were actual artist 🥵
When I first heard this song few months ago, I imagined the young Chris headbanging so hard. I was right.
Never gets old. Legendary performance
In 1999 I was 29, and had just recovered from Nirvana and moved to an island to get away from everything. Then came this, and have been a Muser ever since. Now I'm 52 and still go see them whenever. But not in recordshops anymore unfortunately. Best band ever.
I can't even imagine what it would be like to have been alive when Kurt died. Thinking about him brings me to tears and I wasn't even born yet when they were around.
Same here! Fan of Nirvana and Muse🔥🔥🔥
I've been watching their live performance videos a looot for the past two months with bigger crowd and how they killed each of them and watching this when they're in their toddlers era just feels unbelievable. Their hardwork from the bottom has been paid off beyond their expectations.
They really didn't take any 'small' performance for granted. They really appreciated playing to 5-10 audiences for nurturing their maturity as solid performers on live stage today, with massive crowd. Nothing grows easier but appreciate a small step will get you to a further place.
Old muse is the best muse
For fuck's sake! There is no old and new. People still say old Taylor New Taylor. The only thing that changed is the year!
Muses Song with the best voice ever! Came here extra for it every week or so
I miss HMV
Love Muse! Shame it takes £1000+ to actually see them these days. I loved the 90's. We even had mtv unplugged! Saw Nirvana, Pearl Jam, rhcp, etc, live, in their best days. When we didn't have to sell a kidney to enjoy live music, when they just...played and enjoyed. Totally different time. Shame.
Yup! Us Gen Xers were the last generation to enjoy being alive! 😊 Yeah, yeah the internet was the greatest invention and all, but here we are watching this at any time from everywhere! I really missed Alternative Nation at midnight, plus trying to record a live show on a VCR! It was so much fun going to record stores, playing your own instruments, going to thrift shops, smoking cigarettes and coffee under $5 to writing stuff down on paper, in cursive, and handing out flyers for your own band! God! It was only 20 some years ago, but look how much we lost? Oh! The best, picking out movies from Blockbuster, eating dinner with your family, asking someone out, and socializing with actual people at the mall. No need for a phone, just get your ass home by the time the street light comes on, back then everyone wore watches, and the excitement of developing your own pictures and praying for a couple of good shots, damn! .com, aol, WebTV, email, texting etc. Some people these days can't even address an envelope, find an article at the library, and even with 911 and the pandemic, all the hate and gun violence is all we have! So fucking sad. 😢 Sorry, I lost myself a little there....
Wait how much
£1000+?! Are you getting the VIP experience with a backstage pass and a foot rub from Matt? I’ve never paid more than 100€ for Muse.
In 1999 I was almost there. I was 29 and just emigrated... And had gotten the showbiz album and was engaged. Well by time the Resistance in 2009 I was divorced, but had 2 beautiful children. They now go with me to Muse concerts.
